Opening it
Prozollo is one HTML file. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign into.
Double-click the file you downloaded. It opens in your default browser, plays a short logo fill, and you are in the editor. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work. Keep the file wherever you keep your working documents — it is yours, and it will still open in ten years.
Everything happens on your own machine. The app makes no network request when it opens: the fonts, the artwork and the whole application are inside that single file. You can work on a plane.
The workspace
Two halves. On the left, a stack of panels holding every option. On the right, the proposal itself, at full size, exactly as it will print.
The panels are accordions — open one and it stays open while you work. They run in the order you would naturally build a proposal: your brand, then this proposal, then how it looks, then how you get it out.
- Zoom
- Scales the preview between 25% and 160%. It changes what you see, never what prints.
- Fit page
- Snaps the zoom so one whole page fills the stage.
- Page count
- Sits in the bar above the preview and updates as you turn pages on and off.
Your brand
Set this once. It carries across every proposal you make from this file.
- Company name
- Yours, not the client's. Appears on the cover and in the running heads.
- Contact line
- One line for the footer of every page — usually an email and a phone number.
- Logo
- Upload a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP. It is stored inside your saved file, so it travels with the proposal.
- Light logo
- Optional. Used where the design places your mark on a dark ground, so a dark logo never disappears.
Starting template
The template decides the wording you begin from. Two are included:
- Professional services
- The default. Written for consulting, advisory, legal, accounting and agency work — scope, approach, phases, fees, terms.
- Web design / creative
- The same structure in the language of a design or build project.
Alongside it sit the three details that change for every client: project title, date and prepared by.
Writing & editing
Click any text in the proposal and type. There is no separate editing mode and no form standing between you and the page.
Headings, paragraphs, list items, prices, phase names, dates — all of it is edited in place, at the size and in the typeface it will print. What you are looking at is the document, not a preview of one.
Adding and removing
Repeatable things — pricing options, phases, list items — carry their own controls. Add another with the + control at the end of the group. Remove one with the × on the item itself.
Adding a block of text anywhere
Hover any page in the preview and its own controls appear. + Add a text block drops a full-width paragraph onto that page — useful for a note the template never anticipated. It works on the colour spacer pages too.
Pages
The Pages panel lists every page in the proposal — cover, the problem, your approach, outcomes, why you, timeline, pricing, terms and acceptance.
- Turn a page off
- Switch it off and it leaves the document and the page count. Nothing is deleted — switch it back on and your words are still there.
- Reorder
- Drag a page up or down the list. The proposal renumbers itself.
- The cover
- Always stays, and always leads. It is the one fixed point.
- + Add spacer page
- Adds a full-bleed colour page carrying a single line of type — the pause between sections that makes a proposal feel considered.
- Spacer background
- Each spacer can take a background image of its own, set from the control on the page itself.
Themes & page shape
Three designs. Not three colour schemes — three genuinely different typographic systems, each with its own idea of what a proposal should look like.
Classic
Warm and contained. Filled panels, rounded corners, even three-up grids. Reads as a considered business document.
Dossier
Editorial and art-directed. Hairlines running to the page edge, oversized sequence numerals, extreme scale contrast, no cards anywhere. Pricing becomes a horizontal ladder rather than three columns.
Vellum
Classical and printed. Warm paper, a hairline frame, centred title pages, small-caps labels and roman numerals. Pricing is set as a schedule with figures ruled to the right margin. Suits law, finance, architecture and advisory work.
Switching theme keeps every word you have written. Choosing Vellum also sets a serif face and the warm palette to match its intent — change either afterwards and it stays changed.
Page shape
- Landscape
- 11 × 8.5in. Reads like a presentation and gives every layout its full measure.
- Portrait
- 8.5 × 11in. Prints on ordinary letter paper without rotating, and each theme re-cuts its columns for the narrower measure.
Both shapes are real layouts, not one design rotated. Six combinations in total, and every one of them is composed.
Colour
Twelve palettes, each a matched set of accent, heading, body and rule colours rather than a single hue dropped onto a white page.
- Crimson
- Cobalt
- Emerald
- Violet
- Teal
- Rust
- Ink
- Navy
- Forest
- Plum
- Slate
- Ochre
Past the presets, two colours are yours to set directly — the accent, used for marks, numerals and rules, and the heading colour. Use the picker or type a hex value.
Type
22 fonts are included in the file — fourteen sans families and eight serif families, text and display alike — alongside your system sans, Helvetica/Arial and Georgia. All of them work offline, because they are already inside the app.
Search by name to filter the list. Included faces are marked as such; the search also reaches Google Fonts by name, and those load only if you pick one.
- Use your own font
- Upload a WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF. It is stored inside your saved working file, so the proposal keeps its typeface wherever it goes.
- Text size
- Scales the whole document between 85% and 160% in steps of 5%. Every size in the design moves together, so the hierarchy holds.
Publishing
Turning the proposal into something you can send a client:
- Save as PDF
- Opens your browser's print dialog. Choose Save as PDF as the destination. This is what you send a client, and it is the only export the proposal needs.
Getting the PDF right
- Set margins to None or Default — the design already holds its own margins, and adding more shrinks the page.
- Turn Background graphics on, or the colour spacers and filled panels print white.
- Leave scale at 100%. The page shape you chose already matches the paper.
Import & export
The working file is your editable copy. It is not the thing you send.
- Save
- Writes a .prozollo file holding the whole proposal — every word, your logo, the theme, palette, page shape and any font you added. It is ordinary JSON inside, so nothing is locked away.
- Open
- Loads a .prozollo (or .json) file back into the editor, exactly as you left it.
- Start over
- Clears the proposal in this browser and returns to the template. Save a working file first if you want to keep what you have.
Keep working files to revise a proposal later, to reuse one as the starting point for the next client, or to move a job to another computer. Clients never need them — send the PDF.
Privacy
Prozollo has no account, no login and no server behind it. Your proposals, your clients' details and your logo never leave your machine.
There is one optional switch, Share anonymous usage, and it is off unless you turn it on. With it on, the app reports which theme, page shape, template, palette and page count you used — and nothing else. Never your text, never your logo, never your client's details, and not your IP address, which is deliberately not recorded at the other end.
If something looks wrong
The PDF has blank pages, or a page breaks in the wrong place
Check the print dialog first: margins set to None or Default, scale at 100%, and Background graphics switched on. Custom margins are the usual cause — they shrink the page until content spills onto the next one.
If a single page is overfull, it will tell you so in the preview. Shorten the text, drop the text size a step, or move part of it to a new text block on the following page.
My font is not in the list
The list filters as you type — clear the search box to see everything. Included fonts are marked; anything else you searched for is a Google Font and needs a connection the moment you select it.
For a font you own, use Use your own font file and upload the WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF.
Double-clicking my .prozollo file does not open it
That extension is deliberately not registered with Windows or macOS — registering file types is exactly the kind of thing an app you bought once should not do to your system.
Open Prozollo first, then use Open in the Import / Export panel and choose your file.
My logo looks too small, or too large
Wide wordmarks and square marks are sized to their own proportions. If a square mark looks oversized next to your text, upload the horizontal version of your logo — it is the one designed to sit in a line of type.
I switched template and lost my writing
Switching template replaces the wording on every page, and Prozollo asks before it does. If you have a working file saved from before the switch, open it and your proposal comes back exactly as it was. This is the reason to save one early.
Colours look washed out on screen
Try a different palette, or set the accent and heading colours directly. The contrast reading under the colour fields tells you when a pairing is genuinely too weak to read, as opposed to merely quiet.
Still deciding? Use it first.
The demo is the whole application — every theme, every page shape, every export. Exported PDFs carry a watermark; nothing else is held back.
